okay, the film council had grants on up to ?10 000 for script development so here are my questions:
what is all that money for?? if i applied for one as the biggest shot in the dark EVER and got it ( not like that would ever happen)is that just money for me to quit uni and not have to work while i write my movie??? THEN what happens? do they take my baby away from me and give it to someone else to direct???
also, one part of the website says you need to submit stuff through a literary agent, how do i get one of those???

It's mostly to live on - To allow you to concentrate on writing without external hassle. It would also be used for research.

um, congratulations. Is there a website where we can read more about this. Sounds like a big deal.
But do read the fine print, you may not own what you write...etc...etc....etc...

The organisation is The Film Council - part of the UK government and (in their words) aims to nurture excellence and innovation in the UK industry, and to promote innovation, diversity and social inclusion.

If you want to apply to the "25 Words or Less" scheme, "Applicants must have secured the services of a literary or talent agent before applying..."

And once your script is written, I doubt that they'll just take it away from you, unless there was some dody small print. They'd usually have to pay you quite a healthy fee for the script, providing on how good they think it is. I guess you'd then use this sum of money as negotiating when looking for more writing work.
